Teaching Resources

Below is a growing collection of resources that we use to think through Life Design Pedagogy. Our hope is that this is a page we co-create with our community. As you continue to engage in the praxis of teaching and learning, let us know what you come across. We would love to share them with our community.

Warm Ups

A compilation of fun warmups and icebreakers that we have used in our classrooms. We use these strategically to increase energy, invite playfulness in the classroom. Our invitation to you is to explore when and how these might support the learning of your students. Click below to access these resources!

Stoke Deck

Transformative Toolkit

Click here to access a set of exercises aimed to help you transition from your analytical brain to your synthesis brain. They help your workshop participants get into the right mindset. This is an excerpt of a presentation the Life Design Lab hosted with the Stanford Professional Development department.

The Stoke Deck is a set of warm-up activities designed to boost energy, build connection, foster empathy, support collaboration, and cultivate creativity. Any time you need to stoke your team, click the button to randomly select a new activity.

The Transformative Toolkit was created with the animating question: what if we taught the key mindsets and skill sets that help make successful social entrepreneurs? Many of the activites are applicable to life design.
